The Halifax International Airport is the Atlantic Canadian centre for domestic, regional and international flight service. It has over 600 flights a week, you can travel by air to Halifax on direct flights from many Canadian, U.S., European, and Caribbean destinations, in addition to many more connecting flights. Halifax is geographically closer to Boston (fly time 1.45 hours) and New York (fly time 2.25 hours) than any other Canadian city and over one hour closer to Europe than any other major North American city. There are over 20 daily flights from Toronto (fly time 2 hours), 10 from Montreal (fly time 1.5 hours) and 11 from Ottawa (fly time 1.75 hours. Directions from Halifax International Airport:
* From the airport you will take Highway 102 towards Halifax/Dartmouth.* From the Highway 102 you will take Highway 118 to the Highway 111 towards the Murray MacKay Bridge.
* The toll for the bridge is $0.75 (it must be three quarters, the toll booth on the far right can make change if required).
* Once over the bridge you will take Robie St.
* Continue straight on Robie St, until Spring Garden Road (7th set of lights).
* If you are staying at the Lord Nelson Hotel, you will then turn left onto Spring Garden Rd; go through one set of lights, then at the second set of lights, you will turn left onto South Park St. The hotel will be on your immediate right hand side.
* If you are staying at Howe Hall you will continue along Robie Street and turn right at the lights on South Street., continue on South until you reach Coburg Road. Turn right and Howe Hall will be immediately on your right.
